The Common Man Adventure Series Blog
I am the author of three books. The first two are published by Tate Publishing & Enterprises. My third book is published by Mira Digital Publishing. These are all part of my Common Man Adventures Series. The basis of the series is that you don’t have to be rich and famous to have extraordinary adventures. Ordinary people have them too.
Jacque Pierre Russey, the protagonist in my series, is an ordinary man born in an ordinary town in a fairly ordinary family. His friends call him “Pete”. Being a common man, though, doesn’t mean Pete’s life is without its out-of-the-ordinary moments.
The readers of my books will get a chuckle or two and will be able to identify with something in them. As a writer, I prefer to look at life in a positive and humorous light. Therefore my books reflect that. They are a great way to escape all the bad stuff going on in the world around us.
Here is what is being said about my books:
“Edmond P. DeRousse is an excellent author who can keep you in suspense and keep you laughing at the same time….I actually found myself relating to many of Pete Russey’s adventures and reliving those moments.”
“Just call Pete Russey a Mighty Warrior because he’s a man defined about who he is… armed with attitude and confidence to tackle whatever comes his way….”
“The author has a unique way of writing about ordinary people in an entertaining and personal way.”
“Be prepared to chuckle, to be inspired, and to identify your own adventures.”
At this point, I do know my character has more to say. Originally, I put a limit on how much he was going to say, but he just won’t quit talking to me. So I have no idea when or if the series will end. I am also in the process of writing a couple of Westerns and a book of scary stories.
The purpose of this blog is to provide information on the progress of my Common Man Adventures literary business. My 1st book was released January 2010. Since that date, I have published two more books. While attending book signings, I was asked often how I became a published author. As a result I developed a workshop on how to get published. Several who attended a workshop became inspired too and completed the publishing process.
Becoming an author has given me the opportunity to meet thousands of wonderful people. All have enriched my life.
I personally have learned much. Writing these books for me was a joy. Visiting with everyone these past few years was fun and rewarding.
With this blog, I intend to share some of my experiences, good and bad. I will attempt to post photos and comments on past activities. You can expect information on upcoming events, recommended reading, and links to writing sites. I may even try a Q & A.
For those of you who have written or plan to write and share your written word, hopefully, you will gain some insight as to what the literary world is really like. To help with that, I will share some successes and disappointments, as well as helpful hints in the writing and publishing process.
I am open to suggestions as to what you would like to see in this blog. But, please don’t ask anything that requires a great deal of computer skills. I am a very frustrated operator when it comes to making the computer do what I want it to do.
